😴 I'm taking a break from February 1, 2024 until May 1, 2024, so I will be less active here and on social media.

An Introduction to Long Reads

April 11, 2014

It’s been some time since my last blog post on The Cornerstone. Truth is, I’ve been very busy. But fortunately, I have some cool things to share. I’m currently working on a new section for the website, which will include long reads. (Essentially, very long editorial pieces about certain varied subjects.) The first long read will be called: My introduction to visual novels and anime (or how I discovered that Japanese creations are weird but strangely awesome). That’s quite the title, yes. At this point, I’m aiming for a 3500 words article, which is about 15 minutes of reading (if you’re fast, that’s 10 minutes of constant reading). It has been finished, I am simply in the process of re-reading and checking it.

Long reads typically have many links and references in them, are filled with images and are also optimized with a new layout. As of yet, there is no way you can interact with me yet on these pages, so I might include some kind of widget that people can use to comment on the article.

The first article will be available later this month. Update: A preview of the new longreads section is now live, with an article called ‘My introduction to visual novels and anime (or how I discovered that Japanese creations are weird but strangely awesome)’. Have fun reading it. I might update it as time goes on.
