An Introduction to Long Reads

April 11, 2014

It's been some time since my last blog post on The Cornerstone. Truth is, I've been very busy. But fortunately, I have some cool things to share. I'm currently working on a new section for the website, which will include long reads. (Essentially, very long editorial pieces about certain varied subjects.) The first long read will be called: My introduction to visual novels and anime (or how I discovered that Japanese creations are weird but strangely awesome). That's quite the title, yes. At this point, I'm aiming for a 3500 words article, which is about 15 minutes of reading (if you're fast, that's 10 minutes of constant reading). It has been finished, I am simply in the process of re-reading and checking it.

Long reads typically have many links and references in them, are filled with images and are also optimized with a new layout. As of yet, there is no way you can interact with me yet on these pages, so I might include some kind of widget that people can use to comment on the article.

The first article will be available later this month. Update: A preview of the new longreads section is now live, with an article called 'My introduction to visual novels and anime (or how I discovered that Japanese creations are weird but strangely awesome)'. Have fun reading it. I might update it as time goes on.
