Approaching the final exam

January 24, 2013 1 minute read

🕰 Feeling nostalgic? This is a post from 2013, which means I was still a student during this time. Most of my posts from this timeframe are related to school or the fiction I was writing. These might not mean much to you.

This exam period is almost over. Over the past few days I’ve kept myself busy. For instance, for one particular exam I went quite as far as to making a few hundred question cards and repeating them over and over again until I knew what was what.

A set of cards I made for my formula practice.

I’ve also kept myself busy on the New Media Design & Development front. In fact, I’ve also made a new app for everyone to check out. It loads all different stations from iRail and you can then check out where the train goes. Everything gets sorted automatically but there’s also search if you need it. Information includes station name, destination name, hour of departure and finally, the number of the perron where you need to be to catch said train. (Information about train delays is not integrated.)

It’s not bug-free, and it can hang on your device if your device is too old, but it works. I would try to get it to work flawlessly but today I have to study more about HTML5, so that’s going to be for another day. Check out the app that lists the stations here: NMBS Application (v1.02). I hope you can get some use out of it. Remember to check out iRail, which is where I get the data from.
